The loss of life is increasing in the earthquakes with a magnitude of 7.7 and 7.6 that occurred in Mereş on February 6, one after the other. AFAD announced that 18 thousand 342 people lost their lives and 74 thousand 242 people were injured in 11 cities, namely Mereş, Dilok, Riha, Amed, Adana, Osmaniye, Hatay, Kilis, Meletî, Semsûr and Xerpît.
