SEMSÛR - Adıyaman Akedaş Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., by installing meters in the tent city established with solidarity in Narlıkuyu, will reflect electricity bill instead of solidarity with earthquake victims.

 

Adıyaman Akedaş Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş. installed meters in the tent city established with the cooperation of Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), Tevgera Jinên Azad (TJA) and many non-governmental organizations in the Narlıkuyu district of Semsûr's Merkez district. The government and the municipality will get paid by reflecting invoices instead of solidarity with earthquake victims.

 

Robbery instead of solidarity!

 

A team from Adıyaman Akedaş Elektrik Dağıtım A.Ş., which came to the tent city, cut off the electricity system and installed meters. Electricity bill will be reflected to earthquake victims staying in tents together with the meter. The team claimed that the infrastructure was not suitable for the volunteers in the tent city and said, “We do not accept any responsibility for the fires that may occur due to this. Infrastructure demands of tent city authorities are not our responsibility”.

 

The members of the team also forced the tent city official to sign documents, threatening that they would cut off the electricity.
